Wizz Air has postponed six Europe–Abu Dhabi (AUH) routes from late October to January 10, 2027, according to a spokesperson quoted by Aerospace Global News. The affected origins are Krakow, Katowice, Sofia, Cluj-Napoca, Larnaca and Budapest. The airline cited updated security guidance, Iraqi airspace restrictions and current fuel prices.

The report says EASA extended conflict-zone guidance affecting the Baghdad flight-information region. Avoiding that airspace can lengthen European flights to the Gulf and raise operating costs. Wizz Air considers the affected routes commercially unviable under present conditions. Other carriers have separate resumption timelines, so this decision does not mean that every airline or every Middle Eastern destination is suspended.
