Qantas plans to introduce its Economy Plus product on its A380 fleet during 2027. The paid extra-legroom section will also come with priority boarding and priority access to overhead bins.
Some economy seats could be removed to make room for the product, but Qantas has not detailed the final cabin layout. The airline has 12 A380s and plans a gradual phase-out from 2028, four years earlier than planned. Qantas has not said how many economy seats would be removed from each aircraft or how much it will charge for Economy Plus on the A380.
