Airbus confirmed on October 8, 2026, that it delivered 72 aircraft to 37 customers during September 2026, including Delta Air Lines, British Airways and Emirates.

To reach its annual goal of around 870 aircraft, Airbus has delivered 547 aircraft so far this year and therefore requires 323 further deliveries, or around 108 per month.

By comparison, Airbus delivered 73 aircraft in September 2025 and 507 through the first nine months of last year. The 72 deliveries in September 2026 also marked an improvement on the 57 jets delivered in August 2026; in June 2026, Airbus delivered 67 aircraft.

Among the notable deliveries in September 2026 was the first A320 family aircraft assembled at Airbus' second Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Tianjin, China. The A320neo was delivered to China Eastern Airlines on September 22, 2026.

Airbus delivered two A330neos and three A350s last month. Based on previous projections, the manufacturer aims to deliver around four A330neos each month, rising to five a month during 2029. Airbus made no A330neo deliveries in June and July 2026, and only one, to Starlux Airlines, in August 2026.

On orders, Airbus received orders for 17 aircraft in September 2026, including a purchase from Air Cairo for 15 A320neos and a second from FlyOne Armenia for two A321neos. In August 2026 Airbus had 67 orders, in July 2026 it received 204 orders and in June 2026 it had 71; the 17 orders in September 2026 mark Airbus' lowest monthly total this year.
