Simple Flying's updated article places WestJet's Calgary (YYC) to São Paulo Guarulhos (GRU) launch on December 15, with three weekly Boeing 787-9 flights. The previously planned November 8–April 18 season has been shortened to December 15–February 14, 2027. The revised timing supersedes the older headline suggesting a launch in one month.
The service would become WestJet's first South American route and its longest sector. Scheduled times are twelve hours fifty minutes outbound and thirteen hours forty-five minutes on the return, rather than fourteen hours in both directions. The aircraft has 320 seats across business, premium and economy cabins. Actual operation remains subject to the airline's subsequent schedule updates.
