Taiwan's defense ministry said on October 9 that it detected nineteen PLA aircraft sorties from 08:52 onward, including thirteen crossing the Taiwan Strait median line into northern, central and southwestern airspace. The aircraft operated alongside Chinese naval vessels. The announcement concerns a particular activity period, rather than an annual or full-day cumulative count.

CNA's account lists types including J-16s, J-11s, Su-30s, JH-7s, KJ-500s and electronic-warfare Y-8s, as well as drones. Taiwan said it monitored the activity through joint intelligence and surveillance and responded with aircraft, ships and shore-based missile systems. The release does not provide a separate total for each type or a naval-vessel count for this operation.
