KLM received its first Airbus A350-900 on October 2, but the new World Business Class seat still awaits final certification, Aerospace Global News reported on October 7. KLM says EASA has accepted the test results while the remaining certification process continues. Aircraft delivery does not itself authorize sale of those seats.
The planned cabin has 331 seats: thirty-four business suites, twenty-six Premium Comfort seats and 271 economy seats. The business product uses Stelia Aerospace's OPERA suite. A separately certified Air France installation does not automatically approve KLM's configuration. The report gives no confirmed final-approval date, so passengers should distinguish the planned cabin from classes actually available for booking.
