Japan Airlines says its renovated domestic lounges and dedicated security facilities in the north wing of Haneda Airport (HND) Terminal 1 reopen on October 8. The Diamond Premier Lounge becomes the JAL First Class Lounge, with the naming change to extend progressively to other domestic airports. Priority check-in counters reopened earlier in July.
The redesign separates dining, relaxation and work areas, with First Class Lounge seating increasing to approximately 1.4 times its previous capacity. The Sakura Lounge adds family facilities and power outlets, while nursing rooms and smartphone shower bookings are also introduced. The renovation changes facilities, rather than granting universal access; passengers still need to meet the airline's applicable lounge-entry conditions.
