Icelandair and St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) announced on October 7 a seasonal Iceland service from May 14 to October 24, 2027. Boeing 737 MAX 8 flights will operate up to four times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with onward European connections through Iceland.

The announcement also expands Icelandair's partnership with Southwest, using the latter's St. Louis network to provide connections across North America. This is a future seasonal route, not an inaugural flight already completed. Four weekly services is a maximum rather than a year-round daily frequency, and available connecting itineraries depend on the airlines' sales and operating arrangements.
