A Delta Airbus A350-900 clipped an Air Canada Boeing 777-200LR at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on October 6. The FAA said Delta Flight DL7 was taxiing for departure when its left wingtip struck the other aircraft's horizontal stabilizer. The Air Canada jet was being towed and had stopped short of its gate.

No injuries were reported among Delta's 275 passengers and fifteen crew members, or aboard the Air Canada aircraft. Both jets were removed from service for inspection and repairs. Delta's Tokyo Haneda (HND) service used a replacement aircraft. The FAA is investigating, and the NTSB was notified; responsibility for the collision remains undetermined.
