China Airlines said on October 5 that its adopted forest in Nanzhuang, Miaoli, now covers 12.425 hectares. Around 33,801 native trees, including Taiwan fir and incense cedar, have been planted. The airline estimates potential annual carbon sequestration of up to 236 tonnes of carbon dioxide, rather than reporting verified offsets already issued.

The carrier also unveiled a conservation sign at the Jialishan trail and supports maintenance along its Daping section. Recorded wildlife includes leopard cats, Swinhoe's pheasants and Taiwan serows. The project builds on the airline's forest and biodiversity commitment and combines habitat restoration with improvements to the local walking environment.
