Etihad Airways unveiled the Beyond Borders cabin concept at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai on 14 September 2026. The programme covers first, business and economy classes and will be rolled out across the fleet.
The first aircraft to receive the new interiors are the Airbus A330-900neo, scheduled for entry into service in the fourth quarter of 2027. Each A330‑900neo will feature four first‑class suites with closing doors, 24 lie‑flat business seats with direct aisle access, and 252 economy seats, 32 of which offer an extra four inches of pitch.
Beyond Borders will next be installed on Etihad’s Airbus A321LR fleet; ch‑aviation data shows the airline operates 12 of the 30 ordered A321LRs as of September 2026. Etihad has earmarked US$1 billion for cabin retrofits within a broader US$20 billion investment plan.
