The Interior Ministry said it has begun reviewing agency purchases involving drones manufactured by Asia Tech. Its preliminary count found that three agencies had procured 32 drones involving the company.

The National Park Service and Central Police University each procured one Asia Tech-manufactured drone in ROC year 114, the ministry said. This year, the Immigration Agency awarded a public tender to Su Yuan Technology Co., Ltd. for 30 drones at NT$2.75 million.

Su Yuan had planned to deliver drones made by Asia Tech, but they had not yet been delivered and the contract had not been fulfilled. The Immigration Agency will enforce contract terms barring delivery of Asia Tech-made drones or other products involving China-made goods. The ministry said government drone procurement must meet non-red supply-chain requirements and that it may seek compensation for contractual violations.
