China Airlines flight CI75, operated by an Airbus A350-900, was tracked on a northerly route over Russian airspace on the evening of October 25, 2026, while traveling to Rome-Fiumicino (FCO). Its return flight to Taipei-Taoyuan (TPE) followed the same route.
AeroTime also reported that other Taiwanese carriers, including EVA Air, have since operated flights between Europe and Taiwan through Russian airspace. Taiwanese carriers had avoided Russian airspace for more than four years. The report said the policy appeared voluntary rather than based on an official ban.
