Starlux Airlines announced that it is deepening its partnership with Etihad Airways and extending the cooperation to their member mileage programs. The airlines are introducing two-way mileage redemption and accrual services. Starlux said members of either program can use accumulated miles to redeem award tickets on flights operated by the other airline.
Members can also earn miles on qualifying flights, and the airlines offer a service for claiming mileage credits retroactively. Starlux’s chief executive said combining the airlines’ networks and mileage programs gives members options to extend trips through Etihad Airways’ hub in Abu Dhabi to more than 120 destinations worldwide.
