China Airlines has announced that its flights between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) and Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) will operate from Terminal 2 (T2) at Taoyuan Airport from October 25, 2026. Passenger check-in, departure and arrival immigration procedures, and baggage claim will also move to Terminal 2. The airline published the notice on its website on September 10.
From the effective date, passengers departing Taoyuan for Hong Kong on China Airlines must go to Terminal 2 for check-in and departure formalities. Passengers arriving from Hong Kong will complete arrival formalities and collect checked baggage in Terminal 2. People picking up or dropping off passengers should also adjust their meeting locations according to the terminal used by the flight.
China Airlines uses different terminals at Taoyuan Airport depending on the route. According to the airline's airport service information, Terminal 2 currently handles its flights to the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and mainland China. Hong Kong services will be added to Terminal 2 from October 25.
China Airlines advises passengers to confirm flight and terminal information before departure, with arrangements subject to the latest announcements on its website. Passengers whose outbound and return journeys fall on either side of October 25 should check the terminal for each flight separately when planning airport transport and pick-up or drop-off arrangements.
