China Airlines announced that its headquarters campus in Taoyuan achieved a significant reduction in energy consumption through various energy-saving measures. In 2025, the annual electricity usage of the headquarters campus decreased by approximately 27 percent compared to 2011, when the airline initially relocated to the site, representing a reduction of 4.54 million kWh.
To further exchange expertise in sustainable practices, China Airlines President Hsien-Ming Chen recently visited "The Edge" in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The renowned smart green building serves as the headquarters of Deloitte Netherlands. The visit allowed the airline's team to study its advanced energy management and smart sensing features. Additionally, China Airlines is participating in SkyTeam's "2026 Aviation Challenge," operating a demonstration flight between Taipei and Amsterdam.
