According to reporting from Simple Flying, more than ten Boeing 737 MAX and Airbus A320neo commercial jets are set for teardown this year as demand for spare aircraft parts continues to rise significantly.
The developments follow the recent scrapping of three Spirit Airlines Airbus A320neo aircraft. Those three jets were withdrawn from service and broken down after completing only three years of active operational service with the airline.
