According to Taiwanese media reports, the passenger vessel Lan Bai 1 ran aground during its operation in Xiaoliuqiu. Initial reports indicate that the grounding incident occurred after silt accumulated in the port area, which hampered normal navigation.
Following the grounding, the vessel became immobilized in the middle of the sea with 146 individuals stranded on board. Emergency responders subsequently initiated a rescue operation to assist those trapped on the ship.
All 146 people aboard the stranded vessel have been successfully rescued. Relevant authorities have not reported any further injuries, and additional details regarding port maintenance remain subject to official verification.
