Ohio's annual Future Forum, focused on technology, infrastructure, and transport manufacturing, was held on the 8th at a transportation research center in East Liberty. The Taiwan session focused on semiconductors, drones, and tire technology, as well as developments including self-driving taxis, autonomous trucks, and uncrewed-vehicle delivery and freight.

Taiwan's government is promoting development of the drone industry and a national team, according to the report. Taiwan has more than 200 drone companies and exported 150,000 light drones in the first seven months of this year, most to Eastern European countries. Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute joined the US drone industry's Green UAS program and became its only certified site outside the United States.

Taiwan's drone industry has signed multiple memorandums of understanding with US companies and industry alliances. The parties are to continue working together to build a trusted supply chain.
