SWISS has announced plans to retire its remaining Airbus A220-100 fleet by the end of 2027 as the airline transitions to an all-A220-300 narrowbody operation. Having served as the global launch customer for the aircraft type in July 2016, SWISS originally acquired nine A220-100s. Five of these airframes have already been removed from service, leaving four active aircraft.
