According to UNI Air's official schedule, two Taipei-Kinmen flights were cancelled and one flight departed early on the evening of August 8. Mandarin Airlines reported changes including one cancelled Taipei-Kinmen flight, one cancelled Kinmen-Taipei flight, and one early Taipei-Kinmen departure.

Kinmen Weather Station Director Lin I-ti stated that Typhoon Dolphin is expected to have its greatest impact on Kinmen on August 9 and 10, with maximum gusts estimated at Beaufort scale 7 to 8. Flight disruptions are expected to diminish as the typhoon moves inland and warnings are lifted.
