Airbus has secured an order from US-based medical transport service firm Life Flight Network for five new H135 helicopters, with representatives of both companies finalizing the agreement on October 26 at the Air Medical Transport Conference in Fort Worth, Texas. The new twin-engine rotorcraft will support emergency transport for critically ill and injured patients across the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West, serving communities in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana with modern flight decks and dedicated clinical space.
The order builds on three H135s Life Flight Network ordered in 2025, bringing its total H135 orders to eight. The H135 offers a spacious, climate-controlled cabin, a high-set main rotor and a Fenestron shrouded tail rotor that improves ground safety during patient loading, along with the Helionix digital avionics suite and a four-axis autopilot that reduces pilot workload and improves safety in day and night missions in complex weather. Airbus says more than 1,500 H135 family helicopters are in service worldwide, logging more than 8 million cumulative flight hours.
