China Airlines said it won the Privacy and Personal Data Management Excellence Award at the 2026 SGS DT Awards for the first time. The airline said 23 companies competed for the award and two received it; China Airlines was the only airline among the winners.
The company said it incorporates information security and personal-data protection into its corporate governance, has established a risk-management framework, and has obtained international certifications for ISO 27001 information security management and ISO 27701 privacy information management. It said related requirements are applied to passenger reservations, ticket purchases, check-in and in-flight services.
China Airlines also said it introduced a digital personal-data management system integrating personal-data inventories, privacy impact assessments and risk tracking.
