The BenQ Group, through its subsidiary BenQ HealthLife, is partnering with Dingding Pharmacy to integrate AI-powered pharmacies, 5G communications and drone logistics for sea-crossing medical delivery across the Taiwan Strait, reported CNA.
The project has completed over 100 test flights between Donggang and her health clinics, converting what typically took half a day of medicine pickup into approximately 20 minutes.
Funded by the National Development Council, the program is led by BenQ HealthLife with support from the Taiwan Drone Association and others, utilizing vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) drones plus an AI task platform and 5G. According to the plan, the project seeks to move towards a regular commercial air route.
