Bermuda-based carrier BermudAir is set to become the world's second operator of the Embraer E190 freighter (E190F), and the first in the Americas. This development follows a lease agreement signed with US-based lessor Regional One for a single converted aircraft.
According to announcements by Embraer and Regional One on September 16, 2026, the converted freighter offers up to 13.5 tonnes of structural payload and approximately 103 cubic meters of cargo volume. BermudAir, which currently operates two passenger E175s and two Embraer E190 (ICAO type code E190) aircraft, plans to deploy the freighter for express cargo, e-commerce, and time-sensitive shipments across its network in the Caribbean, the United States, and Canada.
