German unmanned aircraft manufacturer Wingcopter has unveiled the Wingcopter 262, an all-electric reconnaissance drone. Designed for vertical takeoff and landing without launch equipment, the aircraft utilizes a tilt-rotor configuration to transition into fixed-wing flight. The drone features a 2.62-meter wingspan, a maximum takeoff weight of 10 kg, and can remain airborne for up to six hours with a tactical range of 150 kilometers.

The Wingcopter 262 features a modular design that supports electro-optical and infrared cameras with artificial intelligence capabilities. It incorporates positioning technology capable of navigating when global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signals are unavailable. Wingcopter is also cooperating with Ukrainian manufacturer TAF Industries under the "Build with Ukraine" initiative to mass-produce Ukrainian drones and supply the 262.
