Southwest Airlines has announced its first airport lounge network, with initial locations at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu (HNL) and Nashville International Airport (BNA).

Construction has already begun, with the first lounges expected to open from late 2027, and the carrier said at least seven additional locations will follow over the next several years. The lounges are being developed in partnership with Chase, tied to a new premium Southwest Rapid Rewards credit card scheduled to launch in 2027.

Southwest joins a growing group of low-cost airlines offering premium airport services. JetBlue opened its first BlueHouse lounge in December 2025 and a second in August 2026, while easyJet has operated The Gateway at London Gatwick in its own North Terminal in partnership with No1 Lounges.
