On September 12, 2026, Boeing, TAROM, and CDB Aviation celebrated the delivery of the Romanian national carrier's first Boeing 737-8 aircraft. This delivery marks the introduction of the first Boeing 737 MAX in Romania, representing a key milestone in the airline's fleet modernization and long-term growth strategy.
The newly delivered single-aisle aircraft is the first of two 737-8 models leased from CDB Aviation to renew TAROM's single-aisle fleet, which currently includes four 737 Next-Generation jets. Named after Romanian sports figure Mircea Lucescu, the new aircraft will operate on routes connecting Bucharest with major European capitals.
