Colombian flag carrier Avianca has signed a sale and leaseback agreement with Singapore-based aircraft lessor BOC Aviation for 12 Airbus A320neo aircraft. On September 10, 2026, BOC Aviation confirmed that it agreed to purchase the 12 aircraft directly from Airbus for long-term lease to Avianca.
The 12 Airbus A320neo aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2029 and will be powered by CFM LEAP 1A engines. According to ch-aviation data, Avianca, which is part of the UK-based Abra Group, currently has 77 A320neo aircraft on order waiting for delivery, while operating 26 active A320neos alongside 21 on wet lease.
