Taiwan's China Airlines announced on September 10, 2026, that it will increase its international reservation service fee starting September 22. The fee, which is processed via Global Distribution Systems (GDS) under a user-pays principle, will rise from 30 US dollars to 33 US dollars per ticket.
Other local carriers have also adjusted their reservation fees. EVA Air and UNI Air began charging 33 US dollars in August for international itineraries originating outside of the Philippines and Hong Kong. Tigerair Taiwan increased its per-segment fees on September 1, while STARLUX Airlines plans to raise its fee to 33 US dollars starting October 7.
