The second aircraft in STARLUX Airlines' "STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA" art livery project, "STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA Gold," has entered the delivery stage. According to the latest update on STARLUX Airlines' official Instagram, this Airbus A350-1000 registered B-58554 is preparing to depart from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS) in France for its new home at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE).

Following "STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA Silver" (B-58553), B-58554 is the second AIRSORAYAMA special livery aircraft created through a collaboration between STARLUX Airlines and Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama. Aviation trade outlet Aviation Wire reported that B-58554 completed its first flight in Toulouse on July 10, with the test flight lasting approximately three hours, and is scheduled for delivery to STARLUX Airlines in August. On August 12, Japanese aviation outlet TRAICY also reported that STARLUX Airlines expects to officially take delivery of the aircraft within August.

"STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA Gold" features metallic gold as its primary fuselage color paired with silver accents, complementing B-58553 "STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA Silver," which is predominantly silver with gold accents. The belly of both aircraft incorporates Hajime Sorayama's signature "SORAYAMA Shark" visual element, extending his signature metallic textures and futuristic aesthetics onto large commercial passenger jets. STARLUX Airlines stated that because the A350 uses a significant amount of carbon fiber composite materials, the paint finish must achieve a metallic luster while meeting lightning protection and related airworthiness requirements for aircraft. Consequently, STARLUX Airlines, Airbus, and German paint manufacturer Mankiewicz jointly developed a high-concentration special mica and multi-layer coating technique to achieve the desired visual effect.

Upon completion of delivery, B-58554 is expected to become the fourth A350-1000 in the STARLUX Airlines fleet. STARLUX Airlines has ordered a total of 18 A350-1000s, with the first aircraft, B-58551, delivered in Toulouse in January 2026, making STARLUX Airlines the first airline in Taiwan to operate the A350-1000. The A350-1000 also serves as a key backbone aircraft for STARLUX Airlines' current long-haul route network layout.

"STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA Gold" features a cabin layout totaling 350 seats, including 4 in First Class, 40 in Business Class, 36 in Premium Economy, and 270 in Economy. With B-58554 completing delivery and arriving in Taiwan, both the "STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA Silver" and "STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA Gold" A350-1000s will be officially united. STARLUX Airlines plans to commence full AIRSORAYAMA-themed operations starting October 1 using both art aircraft alongside exclusive inflight amenities and service offerings.

Currently, STARLUX Airlines' official latest updates show that B-58554 has entered the final stage prior to returning to Taiwan; the actual departure time from Toulouse, arrival time in Taoyuan, and subsequent arrangements for entry into revenue passenger service remain subject to flight information and real-time flight status announced by STARLUX Airlines.
