On the fifth day of the Han Kuang exercise, Taiwan Military Police Command conducted a movement and logistical supply mission exercise in Taipei during the early morning of August 9, 2026, utilizing underground metro lines. The exercise integrated main combat, garrison, and logistical support units within the responsibility area, in coordination with the Taipei City Government, Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation, and Taipei City Police Department.
During the exercise, units incorporated common operational picture and backup communication systems. Military Police Command stated that the drill was combined with battlefield scenarios to train units in integrating and leveraging existing public infrastructure and system capabilities according to tactical requirements, thereby strengthening urban defense operation resilience.
