All Nippon Airways (ANA) is sending its newly introduced Green Pokémon Jet to Taiwan today, October 5. Flight-tracking data shows that Boeing 787-9 JA923A is operating flight NH853 from Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) to Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA), giving aviation enthusiasts in Taiwan an opportunity to photograph the aircraft, which only entered international service in September.
NH853 is scheduled to depart Haneda at 1:20 p.m. Japan time and arrive at Songshan at 3:50 p.m. Taipei time. The latest Flightradar24 data shows JA923A departed at around 1:37 p.m. Taipei time and was estimated to arrive at about 3:36 p.m., roughly 14 minutes ahead of schedule. Actual arrival time and runway use may still change depending on routing, weather and air traffic control arrangements.
JA923A is a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with ICAO type code B789. ANA designed the Green Pokémon Jet around the concept of setting off on an exciting journey together with Pokémon. The aircraft uses green as its main visual theme and features Pikachu along with several first-generation Pokémon characters. It is one of ANA's new special liveries introduced to mark Pokémon's 30th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of ANA international service.
The Green Pokémon Jet officially entered scheduled international service on September 18, 2026. ANA's announced primary routes include services from Haneda to Honolulu, Seattle, Vancouver, Sydney, Manila, Singapore, New Delhi, Bangkok, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur, as well as Narita services to Bangkok, Singapore, Jakarta, Perth and Mumbai. Taipei was not included in the originally published primary operating list, although ANA has stated that actual aircraft assignments depend on daily operations and that the aircraft may be deployed on other routes when required.
JA923A's assignment to the Haneda–Songshan NH853 service is therefore a relatively unusual Taiwan deployment. Flightradar24 also identifies JA923A as an ANA 787-9 in Pokémon livery and records its October 5 flight as NH853 bound for Taipei Songshan.
