A NetJets Cessna Citation Longitude business jet made an emergency landing with its nose landing gear retracted at Akron-Canton Airport (CAK (CAK)) in Ohio on August 18, 2026. The flight was operating as NetJets Flight EJA803 from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Akron-Canton when its nose landing gear failed to extend during arrival.

According to video footage of the landing, the aircraft touched down on its main landing gear first. The pilots held the nose off the runway surface for several seconds as the aircraft decelerated before the nose settled onto the pavement. The aircraft sustained damage to its nose section and underside during the occurrence.

Two pilots were on board the aircraft and exited without injury, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. No passengers were aboard the flight. Emergency responders from the City of Green Fire Division and Akron-Canton Airport emergency crews attended the scene after the landing occurred at approximately 12:53 local time.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) registry records identify the aircraft, registered as N803QS, as a 2020 Textron Aviation Model 700 Citation Longitude. Flight tracking data showed it departed Washington Dulles at 10:48 and arrived at Akron-Canton at 12:54. The precise cause of the landing gear malfunction has not been determined.

The Citation Longitude is the largest aircraft in Cessna's current business jet lineup. NetJets became the launch customer for the super-midsize type after ordering up to 175 Longitudes in 2018, comprising 50 firm orders and 125 options. The aircraft is powered by two Honeywell HTF7700L turbofan engines with a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles.
