Royal Schiphol Group has presented its financial and operational performance for the first six months of 2026. Across its network of Dutch airports—including Amsterdam Schiphol, Eindhoven Airport (EIN), and Rotterdam The Hague Airport—a total of 37.3 million passengers traveled between January and June 2026. This figure represents a 0.3% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. Main gateway Amsterdam Schiphol accounted for the largest share of passenger traffic, recording 32.7 million travelers.

The group dedicated a record €801 million to improving airport quality across its facilities during the first half of 2026. This capital expenditure is part of a broader long-term strategy to invest €10 billion in renewing Amsterdam Schiphol by 2035. Specific achievements in the first six months included completing the A Pier facility and adding specialized operational capacity to support progressive fleet electrification across the airport site.

As part of the broader Schiphol Centre Master Plan, the airport operator paid €317 million to relocate several KLM operational buildings. To deliver on its multi-year capital investment program and maintain operational quality enhancements while ensuring a healthy cash flow balance, Royal Schiphol Group successfully issued €500 million in bonds during the period.

Operational data also highlighted progress in noise reduction following modified airport charges introduced by Schiphol in 2025 to incentivize quieter operations. During the first half of 2026, aircraft classified under the two quietest operational categories accounted for 38% of total flight operations at Schiphol, demonstrating a notable increase from the 29% recorded during the corresponding period in 2025.
