Emirates has announced plans to replace the Boeing 777 on one of its three daily Dubai–Mauritius flights with its newest aircraft, the Airbus A350, as of November 1, 2026. The A350 will take over flights EK709 and EK710 between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU) in Mauritius, while the airline's other two daily flights to the island will continue to be operated by Airbus A380s.
The daily A350 schedule, with all times local, has EK709 departing Dubai at 07:55 and arriving in Mauritius at 14:40, and EK710 departing Mauritius at 18:30 and arriving in Dubai at 01:10 the next day. The A350 seats 298 passengers: 32 in Business Class, 28 in Premium Economy and 238 in Economy, bringing Emirates' newest Business Class product to the Mauritius route for the first time, along with updated onboard technology.
Business Class is arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, giving every passenger direct aisle access, with fully flat seats, a 20-inch 4K screen, a personal mini-bar, wireless charging and Bulgari amenity kits, plus a self-service snack area at the rear of the cabin. Premium Economy has a 2-3-2 layout with 19.5-inch-wide seats, footrests, six-way adjustable headrests and 13.3-inch screens, along with priority boarding, a dedicated check-in area in Dubai and a baggage allowance of up to 35 kilograms, while Economy seats feature adjustable leather headrests and 13.3-inch 4K touchscreens with Bluetooth connectivity.
Emirates' Manager for the Indian Ocean Islands, Oomar Ramtoola, said the A350 marks another important step in the airline's investment in Mauritius and, together with the two daily A380 flights, shows the importance of the island within Emirates' network. All three of Emirates' daily Mauritius flights now offer Premium Economy, and in Dubai passengers can connect to more than 70 destinations across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
