Etihad Airways and Vietnam Airlines have further expanded their codeshare partnership into southern Taiwan. Current flight data shows that Vietnam Airlines' Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport (HAN)–Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH) service now also carries Etihad Airways' EY flight codes, allowing Etihad customers to book the Vietnam Airlines-operated service between Hanoi and Kaohsiung under Etihad flight numbers.
On services from Hanoi to Kaohsiung, Vietnam Airlines flight VN586 also operates under Etihad flight number EY7304, while VN584 carries EY7320. In the opposite direction from Kaohsiung to Hanoi, VN587 carries EY7305 and VN585 carries EY7321. Vietnam Airlines remains the operating carrier, while Etihad acts as the marketing carrier for the codeshare sectors. Flight-tracking data also identifies EY7304, EY7305 and EY7321 as codeshare services operated by Vietnam Airlines.
Vietnam Airlines currently schedules several flight timings in the Hanoi–Kaohsiung market. Kaohsiung Airport flight information lists VN584 and VN586 from Hanoi to Kaohsiung, with VN585 and VN587 operating the return sectors to Hanoi. Some services operate daily while others vary by date. The route is currently operated mainly with Airbus A321-family narrowbody aircraft.
The latest phase of the Etihad Airways–Vietnam Airlines codeshare partnership formally began on November 21, 2025, alongside Etihad's launch of service between Abu Dhabi and Hanoi. The arrangement enables Etihad passengers to connect through Vietnam Airlines' network to domestic destinations in Vietnam and other points across Asia. The two airlines also established cooperation between the Etihad Guest and Lotusmiles frequent-flyer programs, allowing members to earn and redeem miles on eligible flights.
With Hanoi–Kaohsiung now included in the partnership, Etihad's EY flight code has also extended further into the southern Taiwan market. For passengers connecting through Hanoi, the arrangement provides additional itinerary options across the Etihad Airways and Vietnam Airlines networks. Actual schedules, operating days and the availability of codeshare flight numbers may still change with seasonal timetable adjustments.
