Joby Aviation has commenced its first eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP) flights as part of a week-long demonstration campaign in Texas. On September 10, 2026, the developer performed its first eIPP flight at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport (AFW). This demonstration forms part of the Texas Department of Transportation's Project Nexus proposal.

On September 12, 2026, Joby plans to perform a roundtrip flight from AFW to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The aircraft will enter controlled airspace to test flight operations between major airports. The eIPP program was originally launched by the US Department of Transportation in March 2026 to evaluate advanced air mobility applications.
