Two Indian aviation companies have signed preliminary agreements for a total of 85 Russian-built Ilyushin Il-114-300 turboprop aircraft. The non-binding agreements were announced on September 10, 2026, during an exhibition in New Delhi. Under these deals, Pinnacle Air signed a letter of intent for 50 aircraft, while Sleek Aviation signed a memorandum of understanding for 35 aircraft.
These preliminary agreements are not firm orders. Notably, neither Pinnacle Air nor Sleek Aviation currently operates an airline. According to historical records, the Il-114-300's current type certificate issued by Russia's Rosaviatsiya restricts flight operations to a narrow weather band, limiting temperatures to between -9°C and +25°C.
