According to a report by aviation news outlet Simple Flying, an unruly passenger incident occurred aboard a United Airlines flight. An intoxicated passenger attempted to open an aircraft cabin door while the flight was in progress, and subsequently bit a flight attendant who intervened during the mid-flight disturbance.
The passenger, identified as a Russian national, was later interviewed by agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding the in-flight behavior and assault.
Law enforcement authorities have officially filed criminal charges against the Russian passenger. The charges brought against the individual include interfering with flight crew members and performance of their duties, as well as assault.
