Public ADS-B observations show Air Macau Airbus A321neo B-MBU arrived at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on August 9. Macao's civil aviation authority lists the aircraft as an Airbus A321-271NX operated by Air Macau.

According to reporting by Simple Flying, Melbourne Airport is set for a 32% increase in Airbus A380 superjumbo flights between November and March, adding 109 extra departures as a carrier reintroduces heavy widebody aircraft capacity on its network. The temporary suspension affects scheduled operations to the Czech and Scottish cities during the summer months, with normal daily Airbus A380 service returning later in the year as part of the carrier's broader network updates.

Due to the impact of Typhoon White Dolphin, China Airlines announced adjustments for its flights between Taiwan and Shanghai on August 10, cancelling flights CI201 and CI202 between Taipei Songshan and Shanghai Hongqiao. Additionally, services CI501 and CI502 from Taoyuan to Shanghai Pudong, alongside CI583 and CI584 from Kaohsiung to Shanghai Pudong, will be delayed and operated with larger aircraft. Other Taiwanese carriers, including EVA Air and STARLUX Airlines, have also deployed upscaled aircraft and extra flights to accommodate passengers affected on Okinawa routes.

David Cummins has been sworn in as the eighth Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) following his confirmation by the US Senate. Nominated by US President Donald Trump in May 2026, Cummins takes charge of an agency with around 60,000 employees. In his new role, he will oversee security operations at more than 430 airports across the United States, as well as surface transportation sectors including rail, mass transit, highways, pipelines, and maritime networks. Cummins stated that he plans to focus on the TSA workforce, improving employee morale, and deploying advanced technology at security checkpoints.
