Melbourne Airport is scheduled to record a 32% increase in Airbus A380 operations, according to Simple Flying. Between November and March, the airport will see 109 additional superjumbo departures as a carrier reintroduces heavy widebody aircraft capacity.

In a parallel capacity adjustment, Singapore Airlines is expanding its Airbus A380 flights by 25% around the turn of the year. The carrier is boosting superjumbo operations across its international network.

AVWIRE historical records show Qantas previously set October 24 for its final Airbus A380 flight between Melbourne and Los Angeles, opting to operate the route with Boeing 787-9 aircraft instead.
