Virgin Atlantic Sells Two Boeing 787-9s to LOT Polish Airlines

According to a report by Simple Flying, UK carrier Virgin Atlantic has taken the next step in reducing its Dreamliner fleet. The airline has agreed to hand over two of its Boeing 787-9 aircraft to LOT Polish Airlines as it works to bring its total Boeing 787 fleet down from 17 to 14 jets.

LOT Polish Airlines' chief executive, Michał Fijoł, has confirmed that the aircraft transfer is scheduled to be completed in 2027. The move will grow LOT's pre-existing Dreamliner fleet, which already includes eight Boeing 787-8s and seven Boeing 787-9s.
