Taiwan's Civil Aeronautics Administration announced that passenger fuel surcharges on international flights operated by Taiwanese airlines will increase starting August 9, 2026, due to rising jet fuel prices. Based on international aviation fuel prices announced by CPC Corporation, the surcharge tier moved from level 11 to level 12. Surcharges for short-haul international flights will increase from $27.50 to $30, while long-haul flight surcharges will rise from $71.50 to $78. The aviation authority has asked airlines to disclose relevant information to protect consumer interests.
