United Airlines plans to deploy Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft featuring the new "United Elevated" cabin configuration on four intercontinental routes from its Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) hub starting in the fourth quarter of 2026. This adjustment represents an aircraft and cabin product upgrade for existing routes rather than the addition of new destinations or routes.
According to news reported by Simple Flying, Airbus and Qantas have operated test flights involving the new Airbus A350-1000ULR aircraft. The aircraft recorded a total of 43 flight hours across two separate test flights during the testing phase. One of these test flights successfully took off from Airbus's facilities located at Toulouse on July 23. The new A350-1000ULR jet is eventually intended to be used by the airline to link eastern Australia directly with long-haul routes to Europe and New York.
