Boeing announced on September 29, 2026 that the U.S. Department of Defense had awarded it a $2.38 billion contract to manufacture 22 F-15EX Eagle II aircraft for the U.S. Air Force. The procurement is Lot 7 of F-15EX production. It is a manufacturing award, not a statement that the 22 aircraft have already been delivered.

With the Lot 7 award, Boeing is under contract for full production across Lots 1 through 7, bringing the total number of F-15EX aircraft under contract to 120. Boeing also said the recently delivered F-15EX-22 was the first aircraft from the Lot 3 contract.

Boeing plans to continue delivering Lot 3 aircraft during the remainder of 2026 and to work with the U.S. Air Force toward increasing production to two F-15EX aircraft per month. This is the manufacturer's stated production goal; the announcement did not provide individual delivery dates for the 22 Lot 7 aircraft.

The F-15EX is the latest version of the Eagle family. Boeing lists digital fly-by-wire controls, an all-glass cockpit, modern mission systems, an AESA radar and the EPAWSS electronic-warfare suite among its features. These capability descriptions come from the manufacturer.
