The United States plans to transfer three King Air turboprops to the Philippine Coast Guard for maritime domain awareness. USNI News reports that the transfer was finalized in February 2026 by US Defense Department and Philippine Coast Guard officials.
On September 28, the Pentagon awarded Technology Service Corporation a $39 million contract to procure and integrate intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance kits on King Air 350ER aircraft. Two of the three aircraft are to receive the related hardware and software.
The contract also includes personnel training. The aircraft would expand the coast guard's airborne maritime-surveillance capacity, although a complete delivery schedule was not disclosed.
