Deutsche Aircraft opened its D328eco final assembly line at Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ) on September 29, 2026. The company says the 60,500-square-meter facility is designed to produce as many as 48 aircraft annually.

The D328eco is a 40-seat regional turboprop. Opening the assembly line moves the program from development and industrial preparation toward the manufacturing phase needed for serial production; it does not mean the aircraft has already been certified or delivered.

The government of Saxony expects around 250 direct jobs, while Deutsche Aircraft estimates 250 to 350 skilled positions when the facility reaches full operation.
