CDB Aviation announced on September 29, 2026 that it had delivered the first of four Boeing 737-8 aircraft to Norwegian. The aircraft is also the lessor's first jet placed on lease with the carrier.
CDB Aviation said the four aircraft are covered by lease agreements signed by the companies in December 2024. The announcement did not provide individual delivery dates for the other three jets or disclose the financial terms of the leases.
Norwegian chief executive Geir Karlsen described the first 737-8 delivery from CDB Aviation as part of the airline's continuing fleet renewal. The handover begins implementation of the existing agreement; it does not mean all four aircraft have been delivered.
