A Cessna 210 crashed in a field near Louisiana Regional Airport (REG), in Gonzales, Louisiana, on October 13, 2026, shortly after takeoff. The airplane came to rest upside down. AeroTime reported that the 74-year-old pilot suffered minor injuries.
Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre told WAFB that the engine separated before the aircraft hit the ground. Medical personnel assessed the pilot at the scene, but he declined ambulance transport to a hospital. The reason for the engine separation remains unclear.
